What do you get when and English lady from the USA marries an Afrikaans guy from South Africa. An awesome wedding of course. Herbie and Shelly tied the knot at Zambezi Point, just outside Pretoria, always one of my firm favourites as a wedding venue.
What a day it was. Shelly is outgoing and Herbie is quieter, but the love between them is unmistakable.
I actually met them months ago at a photoshoot I did for them, and then the venue where they got married booked me as the wedding photographer.
They had 5 groomsmen and 5 bridesmaids. Shelly’s maid of honour flew in from the USA to fulfil her duties. Years ago Shelly was her maid of honour, now she returned the favour.
There was lots of fun and lots of laughter, a wedding to remember.
