JC Crafford Photo and Video is owned by JC and Surika Crafford. JC is in charge of the photography and marketing side and Surika is in charge of the videography, web design and graphic design side of the business. We also have extra photographers and videographers working for us. We are stationed in Pretoria but regularly travel all over South Africa to capture the memories of the biggest day in people’s lives. It is important that your wedding photographer and videographer have a good working relationship that compliment each other. They must also offer you a product that you can be proud of and can show to your family and friends with pride.
We work great together as a photography and videography team, but you can of course book any of these services separately. What puts us streets ahead of a lot of people in this industry is our genuine love for photographing and filming weddings. We are passionate about wedding photography, we enjoy the romance, passion, pressure, party and the honour to be involved with such a big and joyous occasion. We just LOVE LOVE!
It is very important that you must feel relaxed in the company of your photographer of choice, you can have the best wedding photographer to shoot your wedding but if you are not relaxed in his/her company it will show on the photographs. Our brides always say that we were like an extra bridesmaid at the wedding. We consider that as a compliment… it means they were relaxed around us. Let’s meet each other for coffee before you make any final choices, we are talking about your one special day, and the photographs you are going to show people for the rest of your life! Because this is our full time profession and we do this at least once a week we will also have a very calming influence on you on your wedding day. A calm and relaxed bride and groom = stunning photos and video.
How much time do we spend with you on your wedding day? There is no time limit, we will spend as much time as is necessary with you on your wedding day to get the best shots possible and to tell the story of EVERYTHING that happened on the day! We will make sure that everybody and everything that’s important has been photographed. Although we will take the formal posed pictures you can be sure that there will be a lot of natural looking candid photos of you and your guests.
The equipment that we use are of the highest quality to ensure your satisfaction. We also bring backup equipment with, should something unforeseen happen to our gear. The amount of photos we take during the wedding does not influence the price, we take as many photographs as possible to ensure that every special moment is captured. You also get all the original photos that we take. At the office we use state of the art computers to edit on and we have backup servers on the premises to make sure that your photos and videos are backed up and safe if one of our computers should crash. One of the most important aspects of photography and videography nowadays is the editing of the photos and video after it’s been taken. Our editing are done in house. Your photos and video will be edited to accurately reflect the mood and character of your wedding. Your best photos and highlight version of your video will be uploaded unto our website www.jccrafford.com together with a story of what happened on your wedding day and how the two of you have met.
Traveling will be charged at R4.50 per km. We will require overnight accommodation, if the wedding is more than 200km from our office in Pretoria.
We don’t include any photo prints in our prices. We do however offer prints as an add-on. View our add-on options at the bottom of the page.
We realize that some couples are going to opt for much smaller weddings where they might not require a photographer for a whole day. We now offer our services at a hourly rate.
1 Hour – R2 750 – 100 Photos
2 Hours – R4 500 – 200 Photos
3 Hours – R6 250 – 300 Photos
Additional Hours – R1 600 per hour
We will also charge R4.50 p/km for travelling.
We understand that you might require something totally different to the packages we’ve created. Therefore we offer you the option to build your own personalized package by adding available add-ons to our Basic or Standard Package.
Coffee Table Books can also be ordered separately. We use only the best printers to ensure that you have a high quality product that will remain beautiful for years to come. Various types of covers like leather, printed and canvas covers are available to choose from. Our graphic designers will design your book with input from you and send you the final product to approve or make changes before we go to print.
We will design a personalised logo for you to use for your wedding and on your invites, correspondence etc. Your names and surname can be incorporated into the design of the logo.
The 200 best photos of the day are put together as a slideshow with background music of your choice. I will then burn it on a DVD with your photo on the font and present it in a personalised DVD case. You can view it on your TV through your DVD machine.
Let us design you a personalised wedding invitation that you can email to your guests. It’s basically a 4 page mini website with your wedding colours, choice of wording and photos. Your guests can RSVP directly from the invite. The directions and map to your venue will also be on there. In most cases this option will be more affordable than printing and posting paper invites and you go green by saving trees!
One hour photo shoot on location. You get to practice for your big day and have some fun and extra photos. We load all the photos taken during the shoot on a online shopping cart where you can choose the 20 photos that you like most. We will edit these photos and give it to you in high resolution on a disk.
Two hour photo shoot outside on location. Very popular overseas. Be daring, do something different, dive in a pool with your dress and suit, slide in the mud, throw each other with paint etc. Each trash the dress shoot is planned around your specific requirements. I also take extra photos that you couldn’t take on your wedding dress because you were afraid that your clothes will get dirty or because you couldn’t travel to a specific location due to time restraints during the wedding photo shoot. I load all the photos taken during the shoot on an online shopping cart where you can choose the 40 photos that you like most. I will edit these photos and give it to you in high resolution on a disk.
