Let me tell you one thing…if there is one couple that were really, really looking forward to their wedding then it is Ockie and Melissa. They deserve each other, two of the nicest people that you can imagine. We did a pre wedding photo shoot as well, and I enjoyed every second with them. Melissa and her mum came over one day to discuss their wedding…and we chatted like we were friends for 10 years already. they are just that kind of people, you see them…you love them.
They got married at the impressive Summer Place in Boksburg. It was my first wedding I photographed there…and I really like the setup there. And the food…I have NEVER enjoyed a meal that much. I didn’t weigh myself for the next week!
Here is the story of how they met in Melissa’s own words:
Me and Ockie met when I was fifteen and he was sixteen.A friend basically forced me to attend a church organised program and there he was…It only took us a little while to figure out that we are crazy about each other.He called me ‘Skat’ way before we started dating and made me feel very special.Through the years we just grew closer and closer.
On our sixth anniversary Ockie said that we are going out for supper, but I first had to go help his mom with something.I could not understand why she would not let me leave and never thought that he would be asking my parent’s blessing at that moment.We went to my favourite restaurant and he proposed!I was so dumbstruck that I could not even say anything.And then the planning started…
Our wedding day at Summer Place Boksburg was amazing!We enjoyed every moment!Everything was just so perfect.Our friends and family blessed us with their presence and we are so thankful that we could spend the day with them!

Ah! What a lovely wedding! I wish we could have been there. Still, we share some part of the memory of Summer Place with you, since we were married there so many years ago and some of you were there. Lovely to see Micaella as the flower girl now! And so our family line continues …… may you have many blessings and enjoy the love and happiness that children bring.
