Josh and Petunia’s wedding was held at De Haven Oost.
Where did you guys meet?
We met in primary and reconnected years later on Facebook, the rest is history.
How did Josh propose?
He organized a surprise proposal at my family’s home. Had my parents drive to Joburg in secret and had the whole family there to witness the proposal. It was a beautiful moment.
Walk us through your wedding day.
A magical day. All our dreams come true. All the planning, the stress, and worrying about getting everything done on time and paying everything off before the wedding day was all worth it. We loved it from start to finish, definitely a day we want to remember in the years to come and hopefully tell our kids about.
Tell us about your dress.
I loved my dress, the moment I tried it on. It fits me to the T and flows in the right areas. I felt beautiful and like a queen on the day.
Tell us about your decor and flowers.
The decor and flowers complimented the both of us. It had warm colors and earth tones.
Who did your hair and makeup?
My hair and makeup artist was Zandeline Kemp. Company:Â LUSTIQUE CO.
People/suppliers you want to thank?
Mikayla and Kimberly at De Haven Oost Wedding Venue, they helped us plan out the day and gave us peace of mind knowing that we wouldn’t have to worry about anything going wrong on our wedding day. They also paid careful attention to every detail of what we envisioned our day would be, we loved the whole experience of planning our wedding.

Advice for future brides/grooms?
If, you are planning your wedding day on your own, very important to have a list of things that need to be done and people to contact. Set deadlines for every item so you can mark it off.
And importantly enjoy the planning experience from the decor, to the catering, to the music, enjoy the planning because all the stress will be worth it.
What was your inspiration for your theme?
We love earthy warm colors so getting a theme came easy to us.
Your honeymoon?
We are combining our 1 year anniversary and honeymoon in 1. So, we are planning on going to a beautiful beach area or overseas, it’s still in the planning phase.
What does the future for you look like?
We have big plans and dreams of starting our own little family by next year.
